In the meeting of 4th Standing Council on April 20th this year, Mr. Zhou Jiansong, Vice Secretary-General of the Industrial Association as well as the President and CEO of Fasten Group Co., Ltd., was invited to observe and make a speech of his deep thoughts on the development of wire industry.

At first, Mr. Zhou Jiansong talked about the certainty of the existence and development of wire industry. He said: “In planned economics, there was no any industrial association but senior authority only, and Fasten Group Co., Ltd. was struggling in that difficult situation. After Reforming and Opening, we have our own family – China Wire Products Industrial Association. Under marketing economic system, Fasten Group Co., Ltd. develops gradually, with the sales income increasing from RMB100 million Yuan as 17 years ago, then RMB1 billion Yuan as 11 years ago, to RMB10 billion Yuan as last year. The experience in reality tells us the establishment of an industrial association is a certain choice of our system under marketing economics; more than that, it indicates a direction for the development of this industrial system. Even though there are multiple associations existing, but China Wire Products Industrial Association is still the most responsible association.”

Mr. Zhou said there should be necessary job divisions inside the association so as to create a multilateral beneficial industrial ecological chain that enhance the development respectively. As he described, according to “Master grows from professional dedication”, each enterprise should own a unique product; in this way, job divisions would be formed up to avoid those unnecessary conflicts in products; continuous upgrading and well expansion on the own flagship products would be the correct and long range development for an enterprise. Domestic enterprises could have “Competition”, but they needed “Competitive Cooperation” more than that. As the “Brothers” in a same industry, they should reduce the conflicts of products as much as they could according to the actual status; settle the contradiction through friendly consultation and dialogue. Absolutely this would be a tough job in reality, but if the industrial association could gradually steer its members to cooperate among competition, as “Divide the jobs but work together” in saying, then each member might obtain its “Foundation of business” and participate in the mutual development, and as a result, China wire products industry would acquire a brighter and more prosperous future.
